Undisclosed and unauthorized monthly subscription fee scheme. I paid $1 for very basic single VIN history report. I did not authorize a continuous monthly subscription or service. My credit card company recognized this as a common repetitive scam and now has to change my credit card numbers.

I went online to find a free car history report. This article by US News and World Report (which also now looks like a garbage site) published free VIN check sources. I decided to use the VINCheckPro recommended in the article https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/advice/how-can-i-get-a-free-vin-check

Upon a google search VinCheck Pro becomes VINHistoryUSA.com which I entered my information (credit card and VIN #) and received no report. I am unable to cancel my account and scammy "subscription" on the website.

I got charged $1 for a car history report. Was super generic info so I added on a $4.95 one. No other information was added. A week goes by and I get an email that I was charged $29.95 through PayPal. I go and look and this company signed me up for a subscription I never agreed to. The site says contact live chat to cancel subscription. Live chat told me to email them. Many emails later and I only get a generic message stating to unsubscribe to end subscription through email that I received. I never received an email. So I call. Get told no one is available so leave a message. Called again today and they told me they can only cancel subscription and can't refund me. I've even filed a dispute with PayPal and it got denied. Numerous others have had same issues.

Advertised VIN history at low cost. The site says it is possible to cancel within the 7-day trial period, which I attempted to do multiple times. The cancelation process loops to an email that extends to a website with a cancel link, which generates an error message that says to contact the vendor. Calling to cancel is very risky; I hung up after it asked for the numbers of my credit card, which they already had.

I was looking up a vin number. This website said I could get a report for $1 so I got a report. I paid with paypal. Then I have had 2 payments taken out of my bank account for $29.95 each for last month and then again today. I had no email or no notice that this was going to happen. I contacted their email and just received a reply from a Jack Kennedy to click on the initial email link which I never received. I don't even know what country they are in and the report I paid $1 for had no information. I don't believe they can get my personal information from Paypal. At least I hope they cannot.

Recurring payment scam on a website so broken you don't even know if your transaction went through, no means to cancel online, did not respond to emails to cancel.

Vendor would not cancel my subscription, which was only supposed to last one week.

After 10+ tries via email, phone, website, etc. and verbal confirmation that subscription was canceled, I still received charges.

I had to cancel bank card 3+ times and am still receiving fraudulent charges

VINHistoryUSA.com claims to offer a $1 VIN report. I did receive the report however they automatically signed me up using my credit card for a monthly subscription that I was not aware of. They continue to charge you $29.95 until you catch it.

They claim to have a VIN lookup for $1 for a trial but the information they supply is useless. If you want the VIN information you have to pay extra. I decided to cancel my subscription but the person (Jack Kenny) said to hit the cancellation link in the initial email. However, they never send one. I followed the directions on the website for cancellation policies and it says to email, but as soon as you email the contact info you automatically get an email that states to use the link that was originally sent to you( which does not exist even after I asked for them to send me another one). I canceled on the automatic phone number and got a message that stated it was cancelled but I was charged again. I have spoken to the online chat now and they gave me a link to cancel but it didn't work: they then told me to send an email to [email protected] and Jack said to me if I want to cancel to use the link they provided in the initial email. They just keep making you go in circles. It is totally a SCAM!!!

Used this website to find information on rv vin. Said report was $1. Paid the $1 with Apple Pay. Inserted appropriate personal and rv info. Never got the email report. Tried to contact company with no success. Then a week later I got an Apple Pay alert at 2am while I was sleeping that they tried to charge $29.99. Will work with Apple to dispute charges. Company and website are frauds and scams and need to be shut down!!!!!!

They keep trying to take $29.99 out of my account i used to pay $1.00 for a vin check on a vehicle. Even after i contacted them i have to keep blocking the charge. It never said anything about a subscription but somehow it automatically enrolled me into it and they say they will cancel it but they are not

First, I used 7 days free trail for $1 to request my car VIN report, and then the website just automatically let me enroll the subscription and charge me $29.95 every month. When I ask for cancel the subscription through seller's email, they just send me a fake email say that it is cancelled successful, but actually its not, I still get charged.

Tried getting a vehicle report for a used car. I was charged $1 for the free trial but didn't put in any identifiable information (name, number, etc.). I've seen reports of others being charged weekly.

Scam for vehicle report info. $1 charge then $60 monthly unless the trial is cancelled. Attempting to cancel the trial is the scam. In the chat they refuse to do anything without the LAST 6 CC numbers you used, or they tell you to email all your info. I repeatedly gave them my "Member ID #" the site gave at signup, but they say they can't use that info, they need CC info for accuracy. When you try to cancel online the link says oops there is a problem, you have to call to cancel. When you call the recording prompts you not for your name or email, but FIRST 6 CC numbers you used. I was on chat for 2 hours straight up telling them, YOU ARE A SCAM if you can't use my Member ID, the reply is just, email the info, then the chat goes silent. I cancelled my card immediately, and I got a message from my bank that a charge was denied.

I googled free car reports vinhistoryusa.com immediately popped up and after putting in all the information on the vehicle, including VIN NUMBER, I was asked to pay a dollar for each report. I put in my credit card info and the report indicated there were only recalls on the vehicle. I know for a fact the vehicle has been retitled because it was involved in an accident. The information they gave me is not true. I tried the phone number to get a full refund and that phone number is not in service. I message them and was told if the credit card company would allow I would get a refund. This website is not what it seems to be.

This company promises to provide a history report of a car for only $1USD, but they will not tell a customer they will charge a subscription fee of $29.95USD when a 6-day trial period expires. I paid them $1USD for two times on June 2, 2024 one of the two payments was charged for the owner's history which turned out to be blank. And on June 9, 2024 I was charged $29.95USD without my permission. They cheat the customers for a very low charge, get the customer's payment information, and then scam for as much as they want.

This website is a scam! They offer to give you a VIN (vehicle report) report for a one time charge of $4.95. That's all I needed. They continued to offer a monthly subscription for $29.95 every two weeks. I declined the offer as I just wanted a one time car report. After I got the report, I thought I was done. 2 months later, I noticed on my credit card statement that I've been charged on 5 different occasions, every 2 weeks at a rate of $29.95. I declined the monthly subscription initially. When I complained and asked for a refund, their customer service dept told me that everyone who orders a one time report automatically agrees to monthly subscription. They refused to give a refund! Very disappointed.
