Missleading for a vinhistory search to be free. After i enterd my vin number and my email they tried to charge me $1 then would substantially charge me $36 every 2 weeks. Contacted coustemer service to ask why they where falsely advertising that it was free. I was called a broke [censored] that couldnt afford to pay a $1 and that my vin number would be used to "come find me". He also stated that he would use a pepole finder type website to download my P.D.F. to "come find me" this buissness needs to be shut down and who ever runs it needs to be put in prison..

Looking for a new car and running VIN history reports. Found this site with reports for $1. Got those reports, they were good by the way, and moved on. Then I see this $29.95 charge on my card and all it says is Personal Reports. Didn't recognize it so started looking into it and this is what I found. Lesson learned. A lot less hassle to use CarFax and just pay the $46 per report. At least you don't have to replace your card. And I used a Virtual Card number. Thought that was the whole point so you didn't have to replace your card. Apparently the CC companies don't understand their own technology.

Website for a $1 VIN history report had a hidden/unobvious biweekly subscription added. The subscription is not easy to cancel and there are a lot of complaints by users that even after cancelling a subscription, they will continue to charge your card. They sent me a text saying my subscription is cancelled under the name Global Informatics LLC

They advertise $1.00 for checking a VIN of a car. Then they have you search for the car by entering the VIN. The find the car info, then prompt you to pay $1.00 for a VIN report. But they charge you many times using different company names. NO VIN REPORT GENERATED. I locked my credit card, notified my bank, charges not processed and are currently pending investigation. I reported this to GOOGLE as well for AD FRAUD.

They claim $1 for a vehicle history report all over the website, INCLUDING the checkout and then charged my bank account for $29.95. This is sketchy practice at best. Then I checked the FAQ and it says they will charge me this every 2 weeks? There is no way on the website to cancel this "Subscription" so I sent an email and have gotten no reply. Tried calling the number and it just hung up. Used live chat and was told they will cancel the subscription but have to review the circumstances of the sale and I may not get my money back. Disgusting business practices.

It is a vin search website. I paid 5 dollars in October with no further commitment. Since they have made 2 attempt to Take $29.99 from my account. The first time the used the name RevampedReports and the second time they used PersonalReports. They use the "dummy " phone number 978-705-0853. when i called this number a computer prompted me to press one and then hung up when i did. Immediately after I received a text message from another number 202 751-4073 (listed as Global Informatics, LLC).

Credit card immediately charged fraudulent unauthorized charges. Will not issue refund in violation of the terms of their fine print despite repeated requests by email, phone, and web forum. Representatives not in USA. Multiple email addresses and phone numbers used by company, none of which seem to work.

- Houston, TX, USA • Dec 30, 2023

Service offered for $1 with a $30 monthly contract that was listed as cancelable for full refund. I cancelled subscription within 1 minute of making the purchase. The company’s policy is a refund within 7-10 days. It has been a month, I have contacted the company over 10 times by phone, email, and, online chat support and no efforts are being made to issue refund per fine print in their contract

- Bremerton, WA, USA • Dec 22, 2023

Advertised as free vin history with $1 to verify and subsequent charges for $29.95, 29.95, 4.95, 8.95 made. Multiple contacts made to remove card and refund of total monies withdrawn

I'm looking to buy a vehicle in the area I live in. I was trying find out the history of the vehicle, so I used VinHistoryUSA . For only $1.00 I got the information I needed. I thought all was ok until I checked my credit card transactions. On Dec 3, 2023 the transaction looked like this: (Description) VINREPL5167144545 (Category) Merchandise (Card) My Credit Card (Amount) $29.95. The merchandise was stated as clothing.

There were two other transaction for $1.00 each on the same date and time and the same VINREPL5167144545, charged to my CC. So instead of paying one dollar which they said, it turned into $31.95. After looking at many reviews they gonna keep charging me $29.95 every month plus other charges for fake VIN checks. SCAM ARTISTS. Also in the credit card transaction was their location which read: Miami 331300000. A lot of people in the reviews I read said they had to get rid of their credit card and have it replaced with a knew one. I hope I can find another way out. BIG mistake was not checking VinHistoryUSA reviews first. I would have stayed as far away from them as I could get.

Website appears legitimate, but after purchasing the vin info request, we received nothing. Afterwards we started to get monthly charges of 25 dollars for a subscription I never signed up for. Scam

- Bronx, NY, USA • Nov 26, 2023

Used them once to check a vin on a vehicle and told them I did not want to have anymore charges taken and it has continued for several months now. Each time my card gets cancelled but somehow they manage to charge my account again. I have reported them to the NY State Attorney General.

- Miami, FL, USA • Oct 31, 2023

They charge you 1$ for pucharsing a vin report, next week you will get charged 29.95 out of the blue, in some kind of "bi weekly subscription" nobody agreed upon, phone lines are basically dead, no response from email, they have been reported at sitejabber and reddit, yet nobody has done anything, I have changed my cc several times since then, and yet, couldnt make them stop

- Richburg, SC, USA • Oct 25, 2023

I used “VIN History USA” to search up the history of a vin number of a truck I wanted to buy. They claimed it would only cost 1 dollar. Since then, they have charged me $29.95 multiple times, roughly five, but now all that I can see in my bank account is that they’ve charged the extra $29.95 twice.

- Sussex, WI, USA • Oct 16, 2023

I signed up for a one time vin report. There were monthly charges though the initial fee was supposed to be $5. Now they are charging through my bank account $29.95 and I have had it declined with a fraud alert 3 months straight. I have had my bank put a stop order. I am unable to contact anyone, and have canceled 2 times on their website. Loads of info on this scam on reddit/ internet. You should check it out and make an investigation.

- Chattanooga, TN, USA • Oct 11, 2023

They offer to sell you a VIN Car report for $1, and when you pay the $1, they take $29.95 on top of that, and when you ask for the money back they say that don't do "one report" sales, and it clearly states that you get a report for $1

- Titusville, FL, USA • Oct 02, 2023

I was trying for my vehicle history. The site said ABSOLUTELY FREE. After I entered all my personal information, they asked for a $1.00 processing fee payable by credit card. I gave this and then tried to get on their CHAT. It took me to a site offering a free chat app. I immediately called my Credit Card company, they had already marked it as a scam and blocked the two amounts (I had allowed a $1.00 but nothing else). I've had to cancel my credit card, the company called me - I didn't answer and I've blocked the phone number. The phone # shown on my phone was 202-751-4073.

- Orange City, FL, USA • Sep 25, 2023

Website is advertised as a free or $1 VIN check but they keep your card information & continuously try to bill you $29.95 monthly. They state that they don't do zero or $1 VIN checks and it's only a monthy subscription, which is incorrect. I've requested multiple times via their site & over the phone to have my information removed but they continue to try to bill me. I provided my debut card number when making the intial purchase 4 months ago but they continued to attempt charging. My card has been replaced 3 times now with different card info but somehow they still get the details & try to charge me

- Weyers Cave, VA, USA • Sep 16, 2023

I kept getting random charges of 29.95 after I tried to cancel my account with them. I initially paid $1 which was a big mistake as they stole my information to make fraudulent charges over and over.

This company needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY...Not only do they pop up in a Google search as "free" but, then, they list their cost per one vehicle history report as $1 each...UNTIL, you reach the checkout page where they sneakily add a small note that the $1 initial deposit will be followed by a $29.95 bi-weekly subscription.

Per FTC's ROSCA guidelines, subscription disclosures must be "clear and conspicuous" but, more specifically, a "visual disclosure, by its size, contrast, location, the length of time it appears, and other characteristics, should stand out from any accompanying text or other visual elements so that it is easily noticed, read, and understood"...Furthermore, the FTC defines an "inadequate disclosure" as "one where the consumer sees an offer upfront, in an electronic or written advertisement or on the landing page of a website, which is materially different from the terms of the offer presented in later stages, such as later web pages, of the ordering process" - this definition is the complete OPPOSITE of how this company conducts itself.

Unless you change your debit/credit card number, they will continue to charge you over and over again (under various company names) EVEN IF they've told you that your subscription has been cancelled...Some of these sister company names include: Track The Gene, FindTheirReport, TrackThatReport, ProReports, ValueReportEasy, Jammin Enterprises LLC, EXEC Vin Results, Citizen Scanner, TrackTheVin, TrackVinReport, Budget Vehicle Report, EZtechnologies LLC, Vehicle Report Systems, ZST, Vin History, Mrs Market, Shaylas Vin, GLobal informatics LLC, VinHistoryGo and so on...

ABSOLUTELY UNETHICAL AND DISPICABLE. Honestly, they don't even deserve the ONE star rating.
If it seems too good to be true, it most certainly is!!!
