Vehicle warranty letter Reports & Reviews (14)

- Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA • Mar 03, 2026

Please see attached image. They’ve repeatedly sent mail to my address.

- Saint George, UT, USA • Feb 23, 2026

i received a "final notice" in the mail appearing to be some kind of warranty. it has no information other than a phone number, not even a company name, but contained my name, the correct year make and model of a used car i recently purchased (very disturbing, how did they get this info?)

i entered an old email that i don't have access to in the email field because it would not accept none as an answer. if there's any follow up info you need from me contact me at: [email protected]

i am really curious how they got my name, address, and the make/model of my car.

- Alpine, UT, USA • Sep 02, 2025

Spam Letter asked for me to call a specific number and inquire about extending a car warranty. Wording was aggressive and final.

- Champaign, IL, USA • Jul 29, 2025

It is letter said that immediate response to this notice requsted. And the content is "This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the warranty on you xxx car. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to keep the warranty up to date. By neglecting your vehiclle's warranty, you may be financially liable for any and all repairs. We reserve the right to revoke allocated wavier after 7 days of receiving this notice."

It also include my real name, accurate address and my id which is very horrible.

Received a letter in the mail stating that I will be held financially liable for all repairs due to a factory warranty expiration. Please call at 1-888- 926-1584 with VIN and current mileage before June 26, 2025

- Ogden, UT, USA

Got mail saying I wasn't registered

- Gray Court, SC, USA

I got a letter with no return address telling me it was a FINAL NOTICE to keep the warranty on my new vehicle up to date. There was a $199 voucher attached. The letter says I have 7 days to respond after I receive the notice. It has my correct name and address and also the model and year of the vehicle. It urges me to call 800-250-5716 to verify my information. I did not call, so I cannot comment on any other activity that could be associated with this letter.

I received a letter addressed to me, mis-identifying my car, but threatening in that they use bold oversized lettering that I HAVE NOT CONTACTED them to get my service contract up-to-date. The letter does not identify who sent it and the envelope does not have an identifying name/address. I'm old, but not stupid. I will never call a number/company that will not identify itself.

- Banning, CA, USA

Received a mail notice from "Motor Vehicle Services" no return address, but postage states it was mailed from 33431. Provides a "record ID" and a "waiver" but also states they are not affiliated with my dealership or manufacturer. Only way to reach them is to call 888-207-8938.

- Aurora, CO, USA

A single yellow postcard requesting I call 1-888-479-7648 due to my vehicle warranting expiring, or having expired, so I could maintain or renew coverage, respectively. The paid postage is from Salem, UT 84653, Permit # 5001. No email or website are listed, just the phone number, though below it hours of M-F, 8A-6P CST, and Sat. 9A-2P CST are listed, along with "Repair Service Center". A deadline of 12/20/2024 (this was received today), is on the card, and yet it warns you must contact them within 5 business days (which would be the 8th), despite the "deadline" being later.

This was delivered to a residential address in Aurora, Colorado today, 11/29/2024.

- Port Saint Lucie, FL, USA

I had at least four of these mailings but did not respond to any. One mailing was signed by Mark Smith, Program coordinator. The really interesting thing is they have my new address which as yet is not even on my driver's license. They were asking for my VIN and current mileage. Surely if my vehicle was covered by them they would already have this information.

Two other mailings were quite different. They actually included a "Protection Temporary Identification card". One showed a State of Florida License Number which bore no resemblance to mine and a company name "Atlas Vehicle Protection" The address was 8921 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Ofallon, Missouri 63366

The second one also included a Protection Temporary Identification Card from the company PPG 2923 Pullman Suite A, Santa Ana CA 92705

I still have all four communications.

- Deerfield Beach, FL, USA

They mailed me a letter with a $199 registration fee voucher the the letter said final notice the it listed year make model of my car and said my coverage has expired and to call immediately there's no company name or website or address only phone number I call and they said my extended warranty payment didn't process and needed a new credit card to put on file I then hung up

- Moore Haven, FL, USA

Le llego al correo postal y dije no he pedido cotizaciones para mi auto y busqué el número en Google y me salio que era estafa

- Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA

Letter urging me to call with my VIN and mileage to activate my coverage on my vehicle service contract. They provided a customer ID number for me, and claimed, in the small print at the bottom of the letter, to be licensed in Florida. I checked with myfloridalicense.com and there was no record of any business with their license number or the business name or the individual's name (it was purportedly signed by Brian Capps, Program Coordinator). There s also no listing in Sunbiz, so the company is not registered to do business in Florida. There is a website for an Athena Auto Protection out of Missouri, but it has a different phone number. I suspect this is a scam, but I know who my extended warranty is with, as I purchased it a few months ago when I purchased my new car.
