I purchased a car in Denver NC and planned on having the car transported to Bay Shore NY.
I contacted several transporters and chose Premium Auto Shipping based out of Richmond Hill NY. 11/20/2023. Sales rep David Smith (516)862-1324 was handling my transport quote. He's quote was $300.00 door to door and required holding fee of $150.00 I agreed and used my Chase debit card for transaction.
The date of pickup Denver NC was 11/28/2023 delivered 11/29/2023.
The day of pickup 11/28 David contacted me and said that the carrier could not make it but he'll try to get another carrier. David called me back within minutes and said he located another carrier but it cost me an additional $300.00. After several minutes of heated conversation, Bait and Switch. I told David to cancel 11/28 and reschedule another date that he could guarantee the original $300.00. The next pickup date 12/13/2023.
The day of pickup 12/13/2023 David called me and said the carrier will be at the pickup address 3:00-5:00pm. The seller Bob waited and waited now 6:00pm. I called David and he said the driver is coming, waited until 8:00pm nothing no call no contact. I call David and he said he'll look into it and call me back. 9:00pm David called and said the carrier was having mechanical issues (rear axle) David guarantee that another carrier would be there tomorrow 12/14/2023.
The day of pickup 12/14/2023 David called and said the had to get a different carrier and would guarantee pickup for an additional cost of $300.00 after another round of heated conversation we settled on $525.00 less $150.00 holding fee balance on delivery $375.00.
The car was picked up as scheduled and delivered on time 12/15/2023
Premium Auto Shipping is a horrible company to do business. David Smith ( I believe is a frictional name) is the worst promises and lies.
I should have went with my gut feeling, if the price is to good to be true .... then it's a scam.
