When searching to fill out a passport application, https://apply.uspassportandvisa.org/passport-v3 is the first site that comes up. They take all of your information needed to fill out a passport application and do send you a pdf with that info. But they also take payment for expedited processing- this is the theft portion of the transaction, in addition to the fraudulent acquisition of my personal information. I have frozen all credit inquiries at all three agencies, but I feel like a fool for being in a rush and not verifying that this wasn't the .gov site. Unlike me, PAY ATTENTION: only use the official government website.
