Type of a scam Government Grant

I received numerous calls from the first number provided above from a gentleman of the name, Sam. He was foreign and had all my contact information in which he confirmed. He stated that since I have not filed for bankruptcy and have not been delinquent on my accounts, the government has chosen 1500 people to receive a $9,000 grant in which they do not have to pay back and can be used on anything except for illegal purposes. He then gave me an ID number and another telephone number to call to retrieve my grant funds and wanted to know if I would be able to immediately hang up and call the other number in which I told him that I could not because of being at work at the time but I would within the next day. My thoughts were to look into the accuracy of this information. I then looked into it and seen numerous other complaints about the calls. Immediately the following morning Sam called back again to ask if I had called the other number. I told him I had not at the time because I had not had a chance to. He asked that I do. I then called the other number from a different number then the one they originally called, explained that I am on the ScamPulse.com website and see that this is malicious. The foreigner then stated that if I thought it was malicious that I do not have to continue with it. I then explained that Sam had given me an address in Washington, DC, in which his response was "the area code 206 is in Seattle Washington and not in Washington, DC" I am not sure where he was going with this but I then demanded that they not contact me any more as I am aware this is a scam and I work in the legal field and will take action if they continue to do so and ended the call.
