We were asked to attend an event about receiving a free 7-day cruise. During this event, we were informed about their travel club and the annual dues would be $129.00. Then a different man came into the room. He told us that we needed to buy into membership. Into the travel club. He quoted us $5,500 to get a membership but if we’d sign the contract then and there, he’d reduce the membership fee to $899. We were not allowed to view a contract unless we signed it. We refused. He told us we still would get a free cruise for attending the meeting. After investigating the “free” cruise, we found out we have to pay a fee up front. Nothing was “free” as represented.
