I was contacted by a former student about an online crypto investment opportunity. Company name is "Top Capital Mining". I was asked to convert my money on Crypto.Com to Bitcoin...then transfer to their company for investment. I was shown a fake portfolio for several months. When I asked to withdrawal, I was told it had to be a minimum amount and I would need to transfer a few thousand more to release the funds. Once that point was cleared, I was told I would need to send more money to fulfill the blockchain requirement...then my money would be released. When that was fulfilled, then just "one more" deposit to fulfill some other fabricated fee. The goal post was always moving, with not clear stated policy and ZERO release of funds. In the last days, they were filtering funds through CoinGecko app.
