This business advertises custom framing and decks. They entered our newly built neighborhood in Bowmanville, Ontario, and offered their services to about 30-40 homeowners. They met with all of us in person and quoted us on a price and provided us with a set start and completion date. They do not have a website and only ask for cash or e-transfers. Once a deposit (at least 50%) has been paid, they may start some work, or in most cases, do not start any work at all, and just disappear or vacate the neighborhood. They provided us with references and assurances, through images of past work, etc., and were made to be believable and trustworthy to the point that many home owners gave them thousands of dollars to only be told the fence cannot be completed and now many houses including ours are left with no fence or an incomplete fence in our backyards. This company scammed our neighborhood into obtaining thousands of dollars. Home owners were told various things, ranging from some people being told they will receive their money back, some being told they needed more money to complete the fence despite what was already agreed upon on the contract, and to some they have not provided a response at all. This company should also be reported and investigated into, to avoid from other people falling prey to their scams and losing money on this false and fake business.
