I stumbled upon a website for apple watch face called thingol.watch with a trial for 7 days then would charge $3.99 per month thereafter. Never received a confirmation email, no email reminding to me to cancel and I kept receiving a monthly charge that keep escalating. I used a new credit care so I was not tracking my spend. It has been goinng on for 8 months when a charge that was supposed to be $3.99 escalated to $49.00 per month. In total I paid somewhere between $300 to $400 for a bogus app that did not do much. I was able to cancel eventually but when I asked for a refund met with a lot fo resistance. Eventually "customer service" was willing to refund a measly $25.

I reached out to my credit card company Amex, disputed the charged which they can only retro for a max of 90 days so hopefully I will be able to recoup $100 of the charges. I also cancelled my credit card.

Who else can I report to in order to prevent others from being taking advantage of?
