This person offered to sell me a Macbook Pro M1 which I needed for school for $700 which was an offer I could not refuse to which I had to pay $300 as a down payment and half of the $700. Figuring that it would be a 16-inch, I took the offer, not realizing that it was nowhere near anything to what I was expecting. After learning from the person through whom the dealer was buying the laptop from that the Macbook was not what I was expecting at all, I decided not to follow through with the transaction and refused all further contact for purchase. The only contact that I had was to get my $300 back which was futile. To make it simple, I was scammed for $300 for an item for school that I never wanted and never got my money back, to this day.
