My company was asked to assess a Walgreens in Jacksonville, FL, ***** ********* *** ************* ** *****. We were asked to be available to perform the job immediately after assessing, including material costs. We sent our craftsman to the site for the assessment and he immediately went to the hardware store to get material costs. I was instructed to call with those costs. We bill via time and materials at set costs. My craftsman sat in Lowe’s for 40 minutes awaiting approval to proceed. The Bloom Works then called and attempted to reduce the costs, our rates are solid and not something we negotiate. I explained the situation to Miss Anna over the phone, told her that they are paying my craftsman while he waits for an answer. We had quoted $500 for labor and explained materials cost would be added once we had the costs. The total cost for the job was $521.95. They called and told us the client would not pay for that and to cease the job. We released our craftsman and asked him to go to his next job. I submitted the invoice and was emailed that I needed to provide before and after photos and a managers signature. Since we were not allowed to proceed, there were no before and after photos or a managers signature since we did not receive approval. I sent the photos we had on file along with a signed invoice from our office and have been instructed they will not be paying for failure to provide the documentation.
