Text message claims that I was randomly picked along with 5 other telephone numbers to qualify for a donation by Chris and Evan to receive $20,000. I was chosen by the spin of a wheel to receive the funds. They asked me to contact Lydia via SMS at 3035051659 if I wanted the donation. There were four other telephone numbers attached to the text message. They knew my name, age, and number. They claimed the money would cost nothing and was mine after the transfer cleared in my account. That's the information they didn't have. I smelled SCAM a mile away before I researched the two lottery winners. Please STOP THESE THIEVES! Some poor soul is going to believe them and lose whatever funds that they may have in their accounts!

Didn't make connection but as searching the phone number online there were others referring to the same number as a scam...915-238-5280 the Text that was sent to my number asking if this (name)? "is this......?" on on the bottom came out report junk and others followed as "Hello" and nothing else.

I listed “other” for country of origin because I do not know.

I got a text message from “James” conducting a survey of issues important to Kentuckians with the upcoming election. I answered about 10 questions and then I got the following message:

“Unfortunately, you haven’t qualified for any surveys at this time. We hope you will try again later”.

I “never” respond to texts and emails like this - but this caught me off guard. I am very interested in the election and I thought I was doing something good.

Have you seen any reports about this? Is it a scam? Could “James” now have access to my phone?
