Type of a scam Tech Support
His Name: Edward Bennet. (False name. He is an East Indian) I asked him why he used that name, but surmised he didn’t want to use his Indian name. He was rather stunned when I told him I knew the accent because I used to work with United Nations. He told me his name was Vishal Sri. I wondered why he was using an American name, but figured that it was because Americans are not very good at foreign names.
The telephone number he gave me was 1-800-414-4132. There is also a Toll Free Number 1-800-414-4121/1 888-768-9793. The Support Dept’s is [email protected]. When I paid the company for the tech services I did so for a year so the bill actually came to 89.00. Two days ago, these people called and said the company had been closed down and that I would be reimbursed my $89.00, plus $100.00 additional. That sounded very suspicious to me. THEN they asked me for my bank account number. I told them there was no way they were going to get that, and if they wished to, they could drop a check in the mail. Additionally I caught the Accounts Department in an additional lie because they said they had no account with Pay Pal Software consult, when I was fully aware that this his how my payment was received by them.
Lastly, on calling they kept using this site hpps:Alpemix.com that was yesterday. Since then I have been hounded at least three/four times a day.
