The scammer used Facebook Market Place to advertise a “free” baby grand piano. She said her name was Tammy and had posted this piano on behalf of her sister “Dr Sandra”. And advised to send an email to [email protected] with the my interest. Then, I contacted this email and she send me a response identical to other folks that reported this scam. I then contacted the website they claimed had the piano and that all I had to do was pay for the delivery https://swiftmover.co/ when I communicated with this website they wanted me to day for the delivery upfront via Zelle, PayPal, or cash method. I told them that I would only pay upon delivery and they said that “payment validated delivery” and I said no exception, I would pay upon delivery only and they said that would not work for them and then they stopped the chat

I was looking for pianos on marketplace and sent a message to a Martha Fowler about a baby grand piano she had listed for free. She said she was selling on behalf of her sister Sandra Sanchez and emailed me. At this point, I figured it was probably a scam but still thought to email her just to be sure when I emailed Sandra she stated "Thanks for your interest. The baby grand used to be owned and played by my husband who happened to have played it last in August last year before his demise. Now, I am currently moving into a new place and I really do not have enough space to keep the piano and I do not want to sell it as it is a thing so dear to my late husband. So I decided to give it out to someone who is as passionate as my husband was about music and pianos. A lady who first showed interest in the piano didn't show up at the point of delivery when the movers moving my properties tried to deliver the piano to her, so I decided that the piano is going to be with the movers. If you do not mind making arrangements with the movers, I can get in touch with them in order to have them reroute it. I believe this shouldn’t cost you too much fee since the distance can be recovered in a day or two.... Apologies for the inconvenience.

The website she sent was down, another red flag, she sent me an email to contact and by this point, I was pretty confident this was a scam situation and informed Martha Fowler that I knew she was trying to scam me, she proceeded to block my contact. The email sent to me by "Sandra" was some fake movers trying to get money out of me for the move of the piano.
