Contacted Speedy Repo for recovery on a vehicle out of state. The man that answered provided me information on the recovery process and explained the fees. He asked for my email address and that was provided to him. The man std that the recovery would be $350.00 and up to 10 day free of charge storage. He asked if they would need to set up transport. I let him know I had a company that would do that for us. Let him know once recover I would contact the company. He sent email giving instruction and the paperwork needed. Paperwork was completed and sent. I was contacted by a sub contracted repo agent that introduced themselves to be the assigned company to the case. The company had all the information that was sent Speedy Repo. They recovered the vehicle and once they sent the invoice the unexpected charges were in the invoice charging Storage is $30 a day starting: 05-30-2023

Lockout Fee: $ 90.00
Contingent Fee: $ 1,374.10
INVOICE TOTAL: $ 1,814.10
Terms: All invoices are due and payable upon receipt.

I contacted the company about the charges that were not discussed and they were not nice about it, To them it was either pay us or don't get your vehicle. They also demanded the funds through wire transfer. The company is very aware they are scamming people. The subcontractor goes by ICU INC.. Please DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS TO THIS unethical people.

I contracted this recovery company on August 23rd, 2021 to perform a recovery of a vehicle for me. I emailed them the information they needed and of course the man on the phone was quite pleasant at first. So I didn't hear anything from them until Sept.17th 2021 they called me and told me that they had located it. And they had to get a locksmith because they didn't have a key. So I FEDEX the key on Sept 20th, 2021. And they received it on Sept. 22nd 2021 and they said they were going to get it that night. And then she said she was in the hospital because a dog had bitten her so I sympathised with her. And she said her partner was taking care of it. I didn't hear anything until Sept. 28th 2021, she claimed because of the rain they couldn't recover it and then it was blocked in by another vehicle. I didn't hear anything else until Oct. 6th 2021 when I said I want to cancel the recovery and to return my key and she said no and hung up on me. So I called back and asked if she can send it COD because she said she was going to take it to the house and leave it in the vehicle. So I called the office # that's on the form and tried to talk to the guy in the office and he cursed me out and called me w's and f'ing this and that and was very very rude. I never heard of a company as rude as this. They're a disrespectful company and their personnel. They need to be put out of business because they don't provide what they say they are going to.

According to complaint boards Speedy Repo Service appears to be a fake towing and recovery service and has been scamming people for many years.
