I was having issues with cable TV,Spectrum said there was a 20minute wait, my call was made at 9:15pm the recording said that Spectrum would not call after 9:00pm and not before 8:00am it was 10:30 pm when they called

Her number was 872-255-8100, she said it would cost $50.00 to update my system but I would it back in two weeks she would not bill me, she needed my credit card I said that’s crazy and I hung up

I called into Spectrum internet to schedule a payment for my bill that was due. An individual named "Adam Johnson" answered the phone and proceeded to help me with scheduling the payment. He then sent me conformation numbers from an actual Spectrum number via text that had conformation codes. After that he informed me that he could set me up with a "deal" to lower my bill, he said that all I had to do was agree to bundle my phone with my internet. He then stated that he would "call me back Friday the 30th to collect payment and send you a phone." He then promptly hung up the phone. After that I received emails from Spectrum that my username and password had been changed. I then called a different Spectrum number, and they verified that someone had accessed my account and changed everything. They had access to all of my personal information.

Icalled Spectrum to pay bill. Got a number off internet. Called # was transfered to Spectrum fraud.(I thought). They convinced me to send $ to people via Paypal. They had me so confused jumping through hoops because they said I had 4 hackers. Feeling I was scammed, I continued though hoping that I would get my $ back.

I looked up the specteum number and it said spetrum they new my account information and how much owed! Absolutely everything about my spectrum account. It was all fake. You will also get an email saying your spectrum has been paid. As soon as you call the real spectrum they will give you the last 4 of the account number used to pay your account an it wont be yours. An on your bank statement it will say aims llc. It takes 7 days for spectrum to realize it was never paid you get the 25 fee and they get your money

I received a call on 11/20/24 @ 12:24pm. The scammer left a voice mail message. The voice was a computerized/robotic woman's voice. The message stated "This is a courtesy call for Spectrum customers. We are running a promotion to help our customers to lower down their bills. If you are looking to lower down your bill, press 1 to speak to our promotion department. Thank you."

I believe this is a scam because 1) I am not a Spectrum customer and haven't been for at least 5 years, 2) The fake voice and poor grammar used in the message, and 3) I think the number that showed up in my caller id has been spoofed. I did a Google search on the phone number and two of the results seem to imply that the phone number is for a Venice, FL resident/individual and not a business.

Received phone call, did not recognize the phone number so I did not answer. Listened to the voicemail, and it said I was losing a 40% discount. Looked it up online, looks like a scam. I do not have Spectrum, so I believe it is a scam. I did not call the number back.

Got call, let it go to voicemail. "The voicemail is to inform you that Spectrum is removing a 40% discount offer on your monthly bill starting today. To reactivate this offer right now, please call back on the number you see on your caller I.D". Did not call back.

I received a phone call today stating they were from Spectrum and my 40% discount has being canceled. If I want it reinstated to call 202-341-5975 which I did. They would reduce my payment to $138.00 a month for 3 years if I paid $552 for 4 months and then in February of 2025 the $138.00 would take place. They had my charge card and billed me for $552.

I looked up the number for Spectrum on my phone to try and lower my bill. I found the number 771-772-0146 and followed the prompts to billing. The rep had a slight accent and said he could lower my bill by $100 per month. He said that Spectrum was running a promotion with Target and I would have to do something today to get the deal. I was told to get 2 Target gift cards for $200 each at Walmart or Giant Eagle. I was instructed to call him by 4:00 today with the gift card numbers. His name is Ron Hills and his number is 888-556-0056, extension 761 in billing. I would then not have to pay Spectrum until February of 2025 and then only pay $95.00 per month. It seemed too good to be true so I called BBB.

I received a text on August 8 stating Spectrum had a 40% reduction in my monthly bill. My bill would be $25.00 a month for 4 years. They wanted 2 years of payment up front which is $600. I didn't pay this and called Spectrum and they said it was a scam.

I got voicemail that was transcribed as, "Spectrum is removing the 40 % discount offer on your monthly bill to reactivate this offer right now. Please call back on the number you see on your caller ID thank you..." I did not call the number back but googled the wording and found this site to report it.

Voice bot claiming to be from Spectrum called and left a message on my voice mail. I did -not- call them back. I'm not even a customer of Spectrum. I also looked up the number and it didn't show as being an official number of Spectrum. If was truly from customer service it would be an 800 number and it was not.

Was told that my promotional offer was ending however call us and we can get you another one. They offered me better Internet for $35 a month if I paid for 12 months in advance and used to target gift cards for $210 a piece. Call spectrum to verify the information they even used my Visa card that was on record with spectrum to authorize a $4.99 fee. Very convincing until the gift card payment came up and they offered a locked in rate for four years which was very unusual as well.

I called spectrum to have my service cancelled and the representative on the phone told me if I want to cancel my service he will have to charge me one hundred dollars. There’s no contract, no statement, or the representative mentioned that when I first got service from them if I cancelled it will cost me one hundred dollars. Again the representative mentioned if I pay that same day that I talked to him he said he will give me a discount i will just have to pay $70.00 dollars. I told him I’m gonna have to talk to someone about that because I never heard such thing as getting penalized for canceling service from a company. So I went to the spectrum store to cancel service the representative at the store told me there’s no charge for cancellation.

Tried to sell me a discounted rate on my spectrum account. Wanted me to get a $480.00 Target card. When I refused I was told it would cost me $250.00 to reactivate account. I asked to speak with a supervisor. Someone else came on the phone. He actually told me to shut-up and listen to him. I said ok I will shut up and just hung up the phone. The voicemail I originally received was a Charleston,SC #843-823-8582. They had valid information about my spectrum account. Almost had me until I was told to get a Target Card.

I called in to make mthly payment on home cable,internet and phone. Paying mobile payment. Gave my debt card money taken out of bank account did not go to spectrum.
