I opt in for text messages on a couple of jod sites to receive hiring opportunities. I replied to one about a personal assistant position. I thought it was a great opportunity but then I started to get suspicious when I was asked to create a bank account for only work purposes and to give the login. But once the first check came in(she deposited it into my account) there were red flags. The check was under a different company name and couldn't be deposited. I thought maybe it was a scammer posing as an employee. But when I looked into the company itself there were more red flags. When you look up the company on google maps the address above comes up but it's a residential and the website shows 2 different address as well. *** *** *** *** *** *,Naples FL 34102, and the map on the web site shows another location but none seem to show an trace of such a business being at those locations. The phone number on the site doesn't seem to be an actual business number either. Because of all this there is now a negative 2004.98 balance on my account and the bank has yet to get back to me on what's going on.
