I believe Shields Loan Consulting is a loan brokerage scam. I applied for a job offer with Shields Loan Consulting, and I got the job very easily with few questions, which was strange to me. Their training materials include a number of typos, and it is encouraged to cold call businesses asking them to apply for business loans. I am concerned that this is not a real business and they are phishing for sensitive financial information that would be needed to apply for loans.

After looking online, I can't find any information on the company other than their own website and Marcus Shields' LinkedIn profile. I asked if he could provide me with a business license or EIN, and he said he only gives that information out in certain circumstances.

No reviews are posted for the company online. The company does not show up in a search as having a registered EIN number. They are not registered to do business with the Secretary of State for CA. They do not have a CA real estate license, which is required for commercial loan brokering in CA. He does not have a professional email in his own domain name.
