These people are sending threatening text messages regarding a bogus debt they are trying to collect. They are after personal information to use to scam you online draining your bank accounts with information they get from you under threat of collection lawsuit. Do not fall for this. Block these people on your phones and tender complaints to Law Enforcement and other Agencies. Never ever give out any personal information no matter how they threaten you.

Scam Debt Collectors- Violation of the FDCPA

I have been receiving calls and texts from "Mediation Account Services" They were looking for someone by a different last name, they have some correct personal information but some incorrect, the representative called me names and threatened me if I do not make immediate payment that there would be severe actions taken against me saying I could be imprisoned. The insults continued and after a few minutes of threats and insults I hung up, they called me 11 times within 5 minutes (I had already blocked the number) So I called back spoke to the same guy, after numerous insults again he hung up so I called repeatedly over and over getting the same guy everytime more insults and threats, he heard my husband and asked to speak to him, he then stated to my husband that he should tell me to go cook dinner, or do the laundry, my husband laughed and said hey hold up do not go there and asked why he is scamming and harrassing his wife the guy hung up and called me 5 or 6 more times so I continued calling him back as well this went on for about an hour back and forth. The last call the guy stated he was leaving for the day and we would continue our game tomorrow.

Received a text today from 301-635-5737 threatening to freeze my account if I don't pay balance owed. I don't have any outstanding debts in collections. Blocking the number!

Scammers attempting to intimidate and threaten unless you pay them money that you “owe”. Making others aware. Please do not trust. Check your credit report to verify any outstanding debts and call your local law enforcement. They will NOT call and threaten you about a debt to pay, especially via phone call

Initially I received a scam alert that I had a scam text coming through from (301) 635-5737. The number in the text that I needed to call was (650) 250-4899. When I called someone answered from "Account Services" advising that I had an outstanding payday loan with EZ Cash from years ago and if I paid $900 it wouldn't go to court or on my credit report. The person had my social and the name of the bank I currently bank with. When I told them that I did not have any outstanding loans and that I knew they were scammers, they proceeded to talk over me, call me a deadbeat and hung up. Since then, I have received several blocked calls from (502) 430-6003. They also called my husband and sister and left messages that I needed to call (833) 883-2793. When I called both numbers, they both say Mediation Center. Additionally, when the (502) 430-6003 shows up as a blocked call, it shows that it has been flagged prior as EZ Cash fraud.
