SCAM

Very similar to the stories above, except it was a Banana Republic credit card with Synchrony bank, as well. It is very hard to decipher the legitimacy of this scam because they had the last digits of my social and address and my parents address. Please just ignore it!

Beware! It’s a scam for sure. They said the same things as others have mentioned, they press you hard so you don’t think to much about why this doesn’t seem right. My advice just hang up and block all the numbers they may call from.

Fraudulent Debt Collection Scammers

They are scammers! They will call you from a different #first 201-528-4650 telling you that docu sign will be delivering you some legal court papers to sign because of a civil lawsuit. Then will tell you to call 866-871-0963 with a case number and that person will have all your info. Also, they told me it was a debt from Walmart (synchrony bank) 2011 and the info was sent to them in 2016. I called synchrony bank and they told me the account is too old to pull up and I would need to put a request in writing to for the info to be mailed to me. I’m telling you please hang up on them because they scammed me out of 1,205.35. I feel so stupid that I fell for it. When I call the 2 numbers it’s a busy signal. Oh and how I found out they were scammers because they called me days later after I paid with a different case # and when I questioned them they hung up on me.

They had the last four of my ssn. They stated they had attempted to contact me twice at an address I lived at more than 12 years ago. They stated I had a debt from 10 years ago and I needed to pay by close of business today or my wages would be garnished and a lein would be taken out on my personal property.
