My Dad was targeted by a misleading piece of mail from RVMX.com that was worded to give the impression it was his registrar contacting him to renew his registered domain name. His domain name is registered with cloudflare and set to auto-renew at $10.46/yr, so there was no chance of it expiring. This was attempting to scare him into spending significantly more money by unknowingly transferring his registration to another company.
