Part of Global Scamming Operation

Responded to advert on Facebook for folding DIY workbench. Company purported to be TV Shopping Online in US but subsequent confimation and receipt came from Runtoo Trade Limited in UK.

Was given China Post tracking number: LV913377492CN. Research showed that CP tracking numbers with letter 'L' prefix denote letter-post. Item was a workbench and so impossible to ship using letter-post.

Subsequent internet search found a catalogue of complaints from victims throughout Europe and North America about Runtoo Trade and associated companies (e.g., Portrait Fashion Garments, Wie Wang.com, Tradeltd, Weiwang UK Ltd, etc., etc.). Complaints included non-delivery of goods; goods delivered to 'wrong' addresses; fake contact emails and phone numbers; and fake tracking numbers.

Other victims received identically worded email excuses for non-delivery of goods. Requests for refunds are ignored. Another tactic is to apparently send 'something' to the wrong address and claim goods delivered.

Runtoo Trade Ltd is a registerd company in UK (15095073). It's only been 'trading' since 24/08/23 and has only one listed director, a 35-year old Chinese national named as Mr Wei Wang (the Chinese equivalent of John Smith). That same name crops up in relation to other scam companies.

Tracking number shows 'goods' delivered on 30/12/23 (confirmed by Royal Mail) but to an address hundreds of miles from me.

Requested refund five times since 02/01/24 but keep being palmed off by 'seller'. His only response is to say goods being shipped again. Claims that tracking number will be same as original shipment. PLEASE NOTE: there's not a shipping service in the world that uses the same tracking number twice! When I complained using the email address @fashionportraitgarments I got the brush-off and identical excuses as others. Though Runtoo is registered in the UK, an analysis of the email header shows, alarmingly, that the IP address originates in Syria.

Fashion Portrait Garments appears to be still active online and still giving the name Wei Wang as their 'contact' person. Their website is hosted by Rebel Hosting, P.O. Box 504, Foulsom, California, CA 95763. Rebel has an email address specifically for complaints - [email protected] - so victims might like to contact them by email and see if they can get this scam-site taken down.
