Im not sure if it's actually an advance fee scam, however it's a scam. I had been applying for a loan online and you know when you do this your info gets sent out to all these loan places and 3rd party companies as well. So after a few days I get an email as well as a voicemail from this company from a woman named Mrs. Andrea Tran and she says I am approved for a $5000 loan with 2 options to get the loan and 1st option is what is called a collateral payment in which I now know they are called a security deposit and goes towards the principle of the loan. It's a second Chance loan for people with limited or no credit as well as the #1 bad credit and it's called a direct loan or peer 2 peer loan and they are legal and can ask for this security collateral payment to put the investor or the direct lender at ease with the hight risk debtor, I used to work in collections. So my 2 options were that of q collateral payment of 3 months up front putting my first payment on the loan 3 months out from the date of the contract, making the collateral payment of $625, if I had that to give up right away I wouldn't probably not desperately need a loan. The second was a cosigner with a credit score of 750 and how many people do you know with that credit score even tho it's considered average to good score these days it's hard to find. So I felt a little twinge of, " I don't know about this" and started some research on the company. Everything I found checked out and yes the website looked as if it was just created however I compared that of a legitimate and known lending companies website and it too said it has just been created and if I could say the company I compared to you would know it well. I did yet a third comparison and said the same thing so I don't know what or why it would say that about all the urls I checked but it did. So I then called my amazing daughter to ask her if she could help me with the collateral payment and I would then get it back to her immediately upon receiving the loan. And she was apprehensive and said it didn't sound right and she did her own investigating and found them to look legit too. And even AI when searching out this company seemed to say that they were legit as well with a history of good customer repore. So my daughter, mind you has a child and one on the way trying to save to buy a house with her husband. But she agrees and sent me the money for the collateral payment and I was to receive the loan the next day in my account. So then the day comes to receive the loan and I get no call from anyone in the morning and I would have thought that they would have called first thing in the morning and so I called and I couldn't get anyone on the phone. And I forgot in between all that, I was switched to a new loan agent by the name of Adam Cooper after I had sent my collateral payment in. So about 1pm the day of this past Dec 7 2024 when I was supposed to receive my loan I told my friend how they were not answering my calls so she called them from her phone and lo and behold Mr. Cooper answer his phone for her and asked why I the client wasn't able to get any response from him or the company and he told her he had been busy all morning and called me back right away on my phone number to tell me that the loan was delayed because the investor got a bit nervous after he took a second look at my credit history, I mean what changed in a matter of 3 days since he looked at it. So they told me I had to wait another week. Now mind you I asked her this line because I'm not able to work I'm pending disability approval my bills are behind I'm out of money resources for 4 years I've been waiting for my disability I have nothing left. That's why my daughter wanted to help me. This would it got me through and tell my disability starts. So I was supposed to receive the loan this past Friday December 13th 2024 I haven't heard from anyone at that company since December 7th the original date of my loan. Not a word from anybody and the website is still up and running the phone numbers are still working the extensions to the company is still working they're answering for everyone but me. They have left me in a predicament now I'm facing homelessness with nowhere to go losing everything I own in storage because I can't pay any bills and my daughter can't help with any more money she gave me everything she had to spare in hopes that I was going to pay her back which I will. they took $625 have much needed money on her part as well as my part for God's sake she's having a baby in a couple of months. I don't know how these people sleep at night I don't know how they can get away with this I have filed a report with my card I used to pay the collateral payment I've made reports with the police chances of the money coming back are slim to none. How did these people get away with it how do they make it look legit as they did my daughter is a very smart woman and she checked into this more thoroughly than I did this is outrageous. Because in one more day I'm literally without a home to live in the holidays and freezing weather because of these people they had my hopes up for a loan and it started back in November like the 17th of November and I waited and waited until this last Friday of December 13th had I known because I had other loan offers and I would be safe and sound with shelter but I don't have any way to obtain any more loans with what is supposed to be a security deposit not a collateral payment. These people are despicable Andrea Tran Adam Cooper Paul Murphy and another woman named Julie they're all despicable I don't know how they sleep at night. Miss Andrea trans extension number is 770 Mr Cooper's is 350 Mr Paul Murphy I can't remember and Julie's I can't remember there's only four of them though supposedly out of Denver Colorado when you Google the address there's nothing but a high-rise building I got a hold of the owner of that building he knows nothing of a Rosslyn & Gates had I known this before I did any business with them that is the only thing that came up not good and it was after the fact that I did that checked it out. My daughter and I are both intelligent women but now I'm just I can't even describe because of now my daughter's not that money and I'm out of a home. I hope we can stop these people.

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I was contacted about a loan for $10,000. It had to be a secured loan with one of the following options; a cosigner with credit score of 750, a vehicle worth $40,000, or pay $900 up front. It doesn't make sense because my credit is not that great, but they required a cosigner with a 750 score, or a vehicle worth 4 times the amount of the loan, or I could pay $900 up front, which makes the most sense to secure the loan, but is just a way for them to take $900 from someone who is desperate for a loan. The website says the business was supposedly founded in 2012, but the website was just created 11/10/24, and the business was not found on the Colorado secretary of state's business database website. The name of the person who contacted me was Paul Murphy.
