I visited a Facebook Marketplace add which was linked to an online auction house of supposed repossessed equipment. Followed the bidding process and won the bid. Was sent an invoice for a wire transfer of required funds. Received a bill of lading for shipment of equipment and scheduled time for delivery. Equipment never showed up and now phone lines are down and no response to email.

I found this auction on Facebook and bid on an RV. I won the auction. I was contacted by email the next day and given more info on where to send the money via a bank transfer. They emailed me to confirm that they had received the funds and were initiating the transfer of the RV after they had the lien lifted. After another day they emailed me a Bill of Lading and now when I call the phone number it is not working

Remfilerepos LLC has a sponsered site on facebook marketplace that you can bid on all kind of vehicles, boats, trailers etc. I was leery about the site so I did my research and found Reddit, searched the company name and discovered that there were people that have been scammed out of money. I did not like the fact that they want you to wire the money and they will deliver it to you after the money clears. This is a scam that americans need to know about. They are foreign which was a red flag for me. I was hoping something could be done about these scammers to be shut down. It may have already happened, I find nothing online for them, I was also going to report it to facebook marketplace and hopefully they will shut them down. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call. I did not lose any money becasue my better half checks into things like this for me.
