RDS ASSOCIATES

In May 2022 a company called RDS AND ASSOC contacted me. They told me that I owed $14,978.20 on a Navy Federal Credit Union credit card. I remembered that I did owe that money. They offered me a settlement agreement to pay $3,798.00. I took the settlement agreement and I sent them the amount in money orders to their business address which is 9431 Haven Ave Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. Phone number (866)430-9967. Fax number (866)254-7557.

Now in late February of 2024 I have been contacted by a new debt law office called Ashcroft and Assoc. They also offered me a debt settlement agreement for the same debt. I told them I already paid this debt.

They asked me for the original account number. I looked on my debt settlement agreement from RDS and ASSOC and it doesn't have an original account number. It only has a case number and the original creditor. The person I spoke to told me to call RDS AND ASSOC and ask for the original account number.

I called the phone number for RDS AND ASSOC and it is a completely different company that hung up on me. I have been trying to find them on Google. A different address or phone number so I can get the original account number. Nothing comes up. In May 2022 they had a website that I looked at and everything looked legit. Now there is no website and I can't find them or get in contact with anyone.

It turns out that the business address is a co working space. It is not an actual business office. It is a place you can rent for only $75 a month. It is called "The Executive Suite at Haven." It advertises itself as a Private Office, Virtual Office, Premier Workspace. I called and asked for a new phone number for RDS & Associates. The receptionist told me that company doesn't exist here. The address I sent my money orders to is a UPS Store. I learned that when they ask for money orders that is a scam. Legit places don't ask for money orders.

I filled in a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They just recently got back to via email. The company does not exist for them to send my complaint to. My complaint was closed and there is nothing that they can do.
