I and my daughter were installing anti-virus software on my computer when a pop-up from McAffee appeared, stating there was malware installed on my computer and that I should call the number above. I was told that they could remedy the situation for $330-$800, depending on how long a contract I wanted. I told the rep I would speak with my children before I commit to anything. My children suspected a scam and suggested I call the BBB. I was told such "service" is fraudulent. The other phone number given me is 855-514-1192. I will not communicate with this person again, and have lost no money.
