Type of a scam Online Purchase

My husband and I saw this (Pure Garden PWDs) website and went back an forth about the interest of a dog. We were told to pay first and they will ship the dog within 1-2 days. When it came time to make payment via pay pal there was an error with the payment going through. Please bear in mind they gave us a different email address that is so call link to their pay pal. When that didn’t go through they gave us a phone # to do Apple Cash and we got an error message saying its a fraud. When we call the contact person stating we will come pick up the dog they told us they do not do business like that and they will cancel the request. Everything seemed right about the website and our conversation back and forth about the dog. If it wasn’t for Pay Pal and Apple Cash we definitely would have gotten scammed.

FYI the sellers so call name is Eric Karanja.
