A lady was selling mini dachshunds and told me I had to send a $275 deposit to reserve the puppy and if I sent the deposit then I would get videos of the puppy to know it was real but she didn’t send them. Couple days later she stated I needed to pay the rest of the price for the dog that week and if I did I would get their address to pick the dog up the next week but they sent me 2 addresses because she stated she was in Kansas but gave me a Missouri address. Then she said I needed to send her another $150 for papers that I have to sign as new owner of the pup. I sent it and she stated she never received the $150 and thought I was lying. Wanted me to send it again even though the payment was already accepted.

After asking when we could pick up the puppy could get no answer from them

I have been looking to purchase a shiba inu and was looking at multiple web sites and social media. On Nov 19th I came across a Google ad that had the pricing of a shiba inu in the price range I was looking to pay. I visited the ad - https://akirashibainupuppy.com/ 8and submitted an inquiry. The next day I was sent a text message from the (402) 230-4224 number and an email from the email on the site - [email protected] thanking me for inquiring about Leo - the Shiba inu, I was interested in. I also received pictures. At first I was not sure if they were a serious contact so I continued to communicate with them. I decided to check further into this site on my own and decided to look further into the address on their website. I googled the home address and it led me to a home address located at - 17912 Margo St Omaha, NE 68136. At this point i was starting to feel comfortable. I gave the phone number on the site a call and i spoke with a Frank Matthew's at (402) 230-4224. Frank informed me that Leo was available and that in order to receive him the process is to pay via Zelle. This was perfect for me so I agreed to send money. Frank sent me the Zelle contact phone number associated to the account, which was a Melissa Howard - 401-599-3363. Frank also text me that the Zelle account is associated to the email - [email protected]. Frank text me stating that this was their private accounts and were not associated to the business. Being that Melissa Howard showed up as a valid Zelle account I agreed and sent the money. Frank then text me stating that I would receive Leo on Wednesday. Yesterday I reached out to Frank again to get new pictures of Leo and he sent them to me via text. This is when I became suspicious because the pictures were a mix of when he was young and old. Instead of recent pictures. I asked if I could get additional information on Leo and they sent me a copy and paste of the information. It was a text that had lots of detail sent within seconds. I said No one can type that fast. So I started inquiring further on Akirashibainupuppy.com and found a site that said that this was a scam. I read that Akirashibainupuppy.com was a scam on Petscam.com and now I began to really think I was scammed. I kept inquiring further and read that I would be contacted by the shipping service about the delivery the day of. Then later in the day I would be reached out about how the dog had additional fees that would need to be paid. This morning I received a text stating -

NEWAGE PET TRANSPORT AGENCY. I called and a person with a thick accent answered. I confirmed the address with them and a told my scheduled pet delivery would be 18:40 CST. This was all going like the Petscam stated. I received a text at 9:05am that was informing me of an issue because the crate is not adequate. Below is the text.

Good morning from NEW AGE TRANSPORT, we regret to inform you TX0010436524USA is on hold due to a lack of a special delivery crate to fly your puppy to Austin Bergstrom Airport, more information has been emailed to you at [email protected] read the email for instructions on how to get yourself an eligible crate for your puppy.

Note: This puppy cannot be transported without a special delivery crate, this is to ensure the health of the puppy and that the puppy is transported without acquiring any health damages.

As a result of all this being in line with what the scam stated would happen, I reached out to my bank PNC to attempt to see what steps I could take to have my funds returned.

They offered puppies. After paying for the puppy and delivery fee, the delivery company - https://newagepettransport.com - emailed us trying to get another 1500 to deliver. All seller contact was made from my wife's phone and my phone was used to speak with the delivery service. The delivery service said they could not contact the seller that hired them. Then the seller magically texted my phone saying the crate was normal but would not answer the phone. She should not have had knowledge of my number so the seller and delivery are the same person running a double scam.

They have a website and are close to my house. You complete an application and then they request a $1,500 via Zelle deposit and get an appointment. I’m local so I requested to meet them and pay in full, but they became hostile. I communicated with them solely through email.

Went to the website to purchase a puppy, I submitted a interest form and got a text message from the “seller” asking what one I wanted and told me that the puppy was 550 and shipping was 200$ additional. Paid them from cash app then asked me when do I want them delivered, on delivery date I got a fake text message with a flight tracking info the. A hour later got a email saying I needed to pay them 1000 dollars to rent a dog carrier for the flight or he cannot make it on this flight

We were looking to get a blue heeler puppy when my husband came across this website that was sponsored by Google and stated at the bottom of the webpage that they were an LLC. We reached out to them about on of their puppies and heard back pretty quickly. I emailed back and forth with the "owner of the business" for a while asking questions and answering their questions. They were asking $800 and wanted a $500 deposit. Everything on the website seemed legit as they had a back story of why they got into the business and everything. When they initially emailed me about my inquiry the man also sent me a text to let me know they had sent an email. In their original email they sent me 8 "updated" picturs of the dog we inquired about and a picture of her "parents". After we paid them they sent us a video of her as well. Everything seemed real and fine, until almost a week later when I had emailed them and texted them multiple times with questions we had in regards to her pick up. Both my husband and myself tried calling them as well and he sent them a message they responded saying they would call him back in a bit, but never did. We did some digging through their photos and through Google and Facebook and found the same exact photo of "one of their puppies" on a Facebook post from 2020 and at that point we realized it was a scam.

A Doberman breeder in South Dakota called Felix Doberman, we contacted them re: a Doberman puppy. We emailed with them, filled out a contract and provided a payment for the puppy which we were directed to a third party for the documents and payment. When we sent further inquiries to Felix Doberman via text messaging, the responses were short and then ceased. My husband contacted his credit card company to stop the transaction but it was pending and he was told the merchant was the one who needed to stop the transaction by that point. He called the phone number and was directed to a voicemail because they were closed at the time. We are waiting to get a call back from them.

Went to purchase an Australian shepherd online and we’re sent fake photos. Sent $1000 via Zelle

have been in touch with "exoticminturepincers" with the intention of purchasing a puppy. After several conversation via Text, I sent a money gram (he insisted it be a MoneyGram) for $700.00. I began to suspect a scam when, after sending the money, I didn't hear from him. When I tried to go into my cell to retrieve messages from him along with his tele phone # all had been erased. When I tried to retrieve the pictures of the receipts I sent to him, they were also erased. I have e-mailed him twice so far asking about shipping information and he has not responded as of this writing. It's as though he fell off the face of the earth.

The name he gave me was IYALL MALCOLM. He was very clever about not reveling address or telephone number. I would suggest no one do business with this website or person.

The scammer created a professional looking website online advertising dachshund puppies. I am in the process of adopting a dog, specifically a dachshund, so I reached out. I visited their social media sites, like instagram, where there were over 100 posts and around 17.5k followers. He sent me several pictures and videos of the dog in question, and spoke in a professional manner. The texts were well organized, and syntax and grammar were sound. I told him I needed to think puppy first. He happily agreed and asked when I could swing by, but stated he was in Norfolk, VA. I told him that would not about adopting through him, and asked if I could meet the work and that I still needed time to think. I later reached out and we proceeded with the adoption. He sent a link to what seemed like a legitimate safe courier business website, with reviews, emails, and phone numbers for support. I realized it was a scam after he had told me the travel agency had picked up the dog and would send me a confirmation email. I received emails of the dog passing various checkpoints at the airport, then I received a hold notice requiring $599 more dollars for "refundable temporal travel insurance". I reached out to the guy and he said it was only accepting a cash payment, so I would need to send him more money and he would take time off of work to go pay the agency so she could travel. I knew something was up, I did not spend more money, and I dug really deep in my research to confirm there was no scam, his website was fake and was targeting individuals in Australia before he targeted individuals in the US, and there was no further information on the courier agency. The dog never existed, I told him he would not receive further money, and tried to argue for my money back to no avail.

I bought a dog and the dog was supposed to be delivered to me by pawsexpresstravel.com. They never delivered my dog to me because they kept asking for more and more money and saying if I didn’t pay I wouldn’t receive my dog. They wanted me to pay for things that should hsve really been the breeders responsibility. No matter how much I paid they always found something I needed to pay for

Puppy scammer. Paid for a puppy, then received shipping info. Was contacted by a person from Champi shipping Logistics saying they needed 650.00 for a special crate or puppy couldn’t be shipped. Attempted to contact seller Antonio Manassa and have been completely ghosted. Called Va PD and was told it was a puppy scam.

Contacted Ichika Shiba Inu regarding purchasing a puppy, but wanted to have payment via Zelle. Could not give any way to verify business like UBI number, AKC or breeder ID, BBB, and declined any other way to verify business.

Performed a reverse image search on images sent via text and on their website and found them online with the same pics and dog names different companies associated, and some had been reported for scams. It appears they create a new company name, website domain, email and contact info but re-use the same puppy and parent puppy photos and names for years. Other names of their scam business: Rosenberg Shiba Inu, Sakura Shiba Inu, and others that are near Omaha, NE.

Did not complete transaction or share personal data or send funds, but they stopped responding.

They could not give more details on dogs, carrier information, or paperwork info or other details as this is a scam attempt for phishing for info and scamming funds for a fake online purchase for a puppy. Buyer beware, do not use Zelle unless you absolutely know the business or person.

Contacted for available Shiba Inu puppies and had pics, and seemed legit. But asked for zelle payment and couldn’t provide AKC, club affiliation, UBI or any other form of verifying business. Refused to accept credit cards and would not meet in person.

Performed reverse image search for parents and puppies and found these same exact images (with matching names, Lola, Leo, Katsu) have been used again and again online and under various business names. Scam in Omaha, NE.

Buyer beware of ICHIKA SHIBA INU, or other Nebraska Shiba Inu “breeders” as I’ve seen other names as well, Rosenberg Shiba Inu, Sakura Shiba Inu. Appears they just change business name, website and contact info but reuse puppy and parent dog pics.

We were looking to purchase a pet (French Bulldog). Sent an inquiry about the bulldog via the website and received an immediate response via email. It seemed legit natural business correspondence. They had asked for funds via Zelle and we told them we didn't have Zelle, but we could do PayPal. They asked us to send the funds via "Family and friends". That was our first red flag. As a business you don't use family and friends because your customers can't dispute the transaction. Then we sent an email requesting to have a zoom meeting or FaceTime meeting so we can see the dog prior to any sending any payment. We did not hear from them all day which I knew was odd because they had been very responsive. We sent a follow up email and received no response. We have cutoff all communication with them.

Hello,

This website called Julliete Bernedoodles, https://jullietebernedoodle.com/ pretends to sell puppies. I saw their website and dropped an inquiry about a puppy, soon they contacted me and sent the details of the Puppy. Then when requested they sent me pics and videos of the puppy I intend to buy. Then this man named Ryan contacted me using the phone number 6096293106 then says that his wife named Julliete runs the online Berne doodle business and he assists her with it. Once I felt the information he gave me felt like legit, he asked me to transfer $800.00 using Zelle and asked me to put "Family and Friends" in the memo then when Zelle did not work on my side, I asked him if he accept PayPal. He wanted to confirm with his son and once he said his son can accept PayPal, he asked me to transfer money using PayPal and asked me to put "Family and Friends" in the memo and I transferred him $800.00. The next day he tells me the puppy has been shipped via private plane and his company gets a few free coupons. Then the shipping agency called me to get $1500.00 for life insurance of the puppy, which this man named Mike says is refundable. I paid $1500.00

Few hours later, the same man calls me to tell that the puppy has reached Minneapolis and is waiting for some vaccine verification then they ask me to pay $1000.00 plus $550, by this time it seemed like scam to me so I told them I am not going to make any other payment unless the puppy is being delivered. Then the owner tells me he paid $700 and asks me to pay additional $300, which I denied. I never got the puppy delivered nor I get any refunds. Don't believe this website and these people, this website if FRAUD and SCAM.

We got caught in the great puppy scam!! Found a puppy online, and we are new at this, never did this before, we engaged in conversation with the "breeder" through email, and had pictures sent, a video of the puppy playing, exchanged several emails about our information and the information about the puppy, and signed a purchase protection contract, sent the money through Zelle, received a email when he was being shipped with a tracking information, but that came from a the shipping company, in which I will file another complaint about. When i tried to reach to the "breeder" from that moment on, I have not heard anything back.
