- Dayton, OH, USA

Received a phone call from Jack Freeman badge number BOA 2675, claiming I won 2.5 million dollars from Publisher's Clearing House. The consumer had to withdraw $2000 and take the money to Walmart to do a money transfer. $1000 was used for FDIC and the other $1000 I was allowed to keep. Mr. Jack Freeman had last four digits of my savings account. The consumer had to give a password to communicate with Mr. Jack Freeman.

I have been receiving calls everyday 876-536-0496 for about 2-3 weeks now, maybe around the beginning of February 2018. When they call they say they are from Publishers Clearing House and that you've won a 2018 BMW and that my mom won 5 billion or something like that. It was a man calling they wanted $500 for the taxes and stuff before they would give us the 5 billion. His name was John Mcilisget he had an accent his manager is Pete Washington. He said I had to go to Walmart and send it Western Union.

I received this letter and check in mail yesterday and the check looks legitimate, but was afraid to cash it. Then went online to PCH and read what to look for if scam. PCH said they would not send a check in mail unless certified mail needing my signature, plus they would have their name on check.

I want to make others aware of this recent scam and hopefully find the real source of it.

Thank you!
