Publishers Clearing House Reports & Reviews (1652)

I received a phone call today stating I won the big prize for Publisher's Clearinghouse. In order to collect the prize I was told I needed to go to Kroger and get a Itunes card an put $250 on it for the taxes and fees. I was told I would get it back once I received the check for the prize money. I called the Central OH ScamPulse.com to report it and they told me to always keep a copy of how I will be contacted from the PCH in the future so I would not be a victim of this scam. So glad I called first.

Called and stated won $800,000.00 from Publishers Clearing. Will deliver a package to me today. Told caller this was a scam. and hung up. State he was calling from Anderson, SC.

Received phone call from Adams and Reese Attorney in Columbia, SC stating that I won 500,000.00. I am suppose to talk with the attorney. He will call me back around 1:00 PM today. I called the number back and could not get a response.

Consumer received phone call from someone pretending to be with  Publisher Clearing House saying that they have a check for her.

- Roaring Spring, PA, USA

Received a call from Publishers Clearing House saying I won $2,000,000. I hadn't entered PCH sweepstakes, but he said I won by shopping at WalMart. (Who doesn't) All I need to do is open a new bank account. But I would have to pay the taxes first. I tried to get some logical details and the caller got irritated and said they will just give the money to charity or give it to someone else. I told him I would check it out and I would call him back. He gave me a "toll free" number of 630-206-4574. He had a thick Southeast Asian accent and his name was Craig Anderson.

Won 1.5 million, in a second place in drawing.

Received a call from Publisher's Clearing House that I have won $1 million and a new Mercedes. I was given a number to call US Delivery Service to arrange for the pick-up. I payed $10K deposit on the winnings. I also paid $3K for delivery fees. They asked me to pay $4,800 one time and 1K this morning.

Called and said I won a car and cash. Left another number to call to receive this "prize" 876 563-7556 with a name of John Chopper. Looked up the number it's from Jamaica. I didn't call.

Called and stated I applied recently. 2nd place finisher, won 2.5 million dollars. Wanted money private or on TV. don't tell anyone about this call. Go to bank and get $755.89, which was my fee. Agencies have been contacted, Federal Government have been contacted about paying taxes on this money. Publisher's Clearing will come to my house and bring a new Range Rover, will drive me to the banks to cash the check. Publisher's Clearing House will call me back on 3rd or 4th to set everything up.

+1

Ms. Kelly Williams called notifying me that I have won $1.5 million dollars and my choice of any color Mercedes Benz. I was instructed to not tell anyone. I was given a phone number to call the following day at 9:00 pm to they know that I am healthy, eating right and okay. I was asked to pay $510 for the vehicle tax. They have called me multiple times per day seeking bank information and personal information. She said they were Publisher's Clearing House and that the Mercedes will be delivered on a flat-bed truck.

A caller claimed to be from Publisher's Clearing House. He had an accent. He wanted me to go to Western Union and send money to his "IRS contact" before the prize team showed up at my door in 45 minutes. I won 1.2 million dollars and a Mercedes! I only needed an ID and a check to cover part of the taxes. When I told him I didn't have 255 dollars, he said "how much do you have?" When I questioned why his phone number was blocked, he had an answer and gave me a number it started with 775. He called me "Sweetheart." He said, "No one is trying to grab you between the legs or pull your leg." He was very persistent and had an answer for everything. I fear that an elderly or compromised person would absolutely fall for this scam. I was on the phone for 17 minutes before I hung up. He was not going to stop trying to convince me. I wish I could tell you who it was. He name checked the CEO of Publisher's Clearing house. He claimed he would give me a better deal even if it got him fired. I hope you shut these ruthless liars down.

Have won 1.5 M and a 2016 Mercades

Asked what bank I would be using to deposit my winnings.

Called and wanted to know if I could meet them at Walmart in Jasper , al today to fill out 21 documents because I had won 2,000,000.00. I told them I wasn't coming d that it didn't sound right and they hung up. Called back number and same person answered publishers clearing house and I hung up and started reporting it to you. They reached me on. Private cell. Thanks.

David Sawyer called stating that I won 2.6 million dollars plus a Chrysler red convertible. He asked me to pay $699.00 for shipping and handling, and that Mary Wilson will come by and deliver the check to me. He provided me a confirmation number and asked me to pay either by a money gram or take money directly from my checking account. I could tell it wasn't really PCH because I could hear a kid in the background. I asked him about it and he said that no, that someone is working on a machine.

Told consumer won money and car. Wanted $225.00 didn't give

Craig Anderson from Publishers Clearing house called 002-425-0201 , 876-293-2257 saying she won $2 million & BMW. Was to send $810.92 US Dept of treasury. *** *** *** *** ** *** **.

They said they are the Publishers Clearing House and that I won $755,000.00 and all I needed to do was pay $199.00 for the taxes. They sent me a package code and a conformation code, then they told me the check didn't have the Golden Eagle seal and I needed to send them $1,800.00 to have the seal put on the check. I paid the $199.00 but then I realized it was a scam when they asked me for more money. They told me to send the 1,800.00 to Westmoreland, Jamaica to a lady named Paulette Brown.

The man claiming to be David A. Clarke, (with a very foreign accent), stated that he was from publisher's clearing house and that I was a second place winner, of $5,000,000 plus a new Mercedes. I was very skeptical and gave them, actually two different men passing the phone back and forth, a really hard time about scamming people. They both claimed to be Christians, one a deacon, and would not do a horrible thing like that. They asked personal questions, and started in on their bit about how you have to pay the government taxes up front. I didn't believe them from the beginning. So I went to the PCH website. They described this very scam in detail. I did not give a bank account #, or any information that they could use to hack my account. Do I need to worry?
