I was instructed to purchase 2 money orders from either Walgreens, or CVS or Walmart for $400 & $320 (total $720). I was to send the money orders to: Winston Daniels, 5100 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA 19139 & David gave me

a call back number 876-392-7588. I did not return the call and reported those numbers to the FTC.

I received a call this morning at 9:52 AM from PCH stating I won 12 million dollars. I spoke to a man who stated I had to pay a fee of $550 for the delivery. They would deliver it to our house today and I should have the check ready. I told him I was not interested because there was a delivery charge and hung up.

Received a message on Facebook messenger from a close friend (I thought). But a hacker got into her Messenger and sent me a message that she won $50,000. Said she saw my name on the Winner's List. Said all I had to do is send $2,000 debited to this person. Don't remember the date. Just about two to three months ago.

I did send the $2,000 debited to ... (I will look up the person's name). But then they wanted another $7,500 to Homeland Security. But I did not send THAT AMOUNT ... Thanks Goodness!

Received a phone call that I had won 2nd place in the Publishers Clearing House Lottery which would pay 2.5 million dollars (with Federal Taxes prepaid). My wife had entered several contest but I don't recall ever entering one myself, especially through the PCH. The caller/agent (alias Robert Herndaez (sp?) has called several times, saying that they want to get all the information lined up before the money is presented. I talked to his "boss" today. His name as given was Ralph Walker and he is supposedly the Senior Manager of the PCH awards division. About all he told me was that I was an approved winner and that I would be given the steps that I would have to follow in the next few days. Supposedly they will pay the Federal Taxes in addition to the $2.5 Million. As I see the scam, they are going to eventually ask me to prepay a percentage of the taxes prior to the award. I have not been scammed yet but have intentionally "carried on the discussions" to hopefully prevent some other older person like myself from getting caught up in one of the many scams taking place at this time. Their accent, along with their choice of words and phrases help to tell me that they are trying to pull a scam plus the two people I have had discussions keep reminding me that I need to keep our discussions secret to prevent someone else from trying to "steal my money" from me.

Phone call from “Robert Peterson”, representing Publishers Clearing House, said we had won $950,000. In order to receive money, we had to have a current claims receipt from a Walmart to Walmart transaction and a picture ID. In order to get the claims receipt, I was told I must pre-pay 2% taxes ($950.95) as required by Department of Justice for any prize over $500,000. (The 2% of $950,000 and $950.95 are his figures, not mine.) Another name used in his conversation was William Jackson from Teaneck New Jersey 07666.

The conversation and all the instructions were quite convoluted and redundant but in some ways very convincing.

Thanks to BBB of Shreveport, I just saved $950!

Today (Mar 22/18) we received a phone call purporting to be from Publishers Clearing House to advise us that we had won a Million dollars and a new Honda Accord. There were some basic questions such as; do you have a valid drivers license, will you be home tomorrow at 12:30 to receive your prize, what color of car would like?, etc. This was followed up later in the day to say that they had received an e-mail from the IRS that there would have to be taxes withheld which we would have to pay before the prizes could be delivered. The discussion was very brief after that as we hung up on him.

I got a call today from an unknown number, claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House. They told me that I won the grand prize, and that I just had to verify some information before getting my prize money handed to me in person. They said that first I needed to confirm my first and last name and address, and also needed to go to my local Wal-Mart or CVS and send a money order of $950.30 to them before I got my prize money. I knew it was a scam then and hung up on them.

I received a call this morning from, supposedly, publishers clearing house saying I would 2.5 millions dollars plus a mercedes benz. Named all of the people that will be at the house. But I would have to go to the bank and get $950 for the tax on the car. Then send it through Fed Ex and get a reciept. Go home and then the people at pch would be there and I would give them the receipt at that time and then they would give my the check and the car. I knew that didn't sound ligitimate. I told him this is a scam and that I called pch and then he hung up.

Got a call saying I won 250,000 from publishers clearing house. They have me info on the cashier's check I would be receiving along with the employee's name and badge# for verification. I would just need to make a Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart transfer of 1% of the prize money for them to verify that taxes were paid so that I wouldn't be under review for money laundering when I received the prize money. They were very concerned with me not sharing this info with anyone because then someone else could claim my prize.
