In April 2024, I thought I was investing in cryptocurrency. A woman by the name of Cary Lorie, offered to invest for me. She seemed to have a long track record of doing this for others. All communication was via Facebook Messenger only. Initially, I invested $2000. I had to buy Bitcoin from crypto.com and then transfer to a wallet, where it was then invested. This turned into $15k. If I added another 4k, it would grow further she said. So, I did. It grew to $538000.00. However, in order to retrieve the money, I had to pay taxes she said. Everytime I gave her more money to make the withdrawal, the price of the "taxes" went up. At 20k, I told her I was calling the police. I already reported it to the FBI

All was done on FB Messenger by a friend but the scammer hacked his account and I got scammed out of $1040. Hacked account was **** ********. Money was moved from crypto coin to Bitcoin to protocoin account. Scammer walked me through all steps to complete the transfer. Thought it was a friend that was doing it . My SSI was not used or any bank account. My name and screenshot was used to move money to protocoin through Bitcoin.
