Received a "RECORDED DEED NOTICE" recommending that all homeowners obtain a copy of their PROPERTY ASSESSMENT PROFILE and requesting a $123.00 Service Fee. It is a deceptive document looking much like an invoice. The document they are noting is available at a nominal cost through my County's Recorder of Deeds office.

I am reporting yet another solicitous mailing that a client brough in for the attorney to review. The message on the front of the envelope was threatening. "Warning: 2,000 fine, 5 years imprisonment, or both ... This solicitor attempted to claim that the client should obtain a "property assessment profile" on a piece of property that was recently transferred to the client. This so called "Property Site" needs to be investigated and legal action needs to be taken against them. I would add an attachment verifying the information given if there was an opportunity.
