A Robert Morano of "Progressive" called my cell from 727-264-5723 and said that my car had been in a car accident the day before and wanted my car insurance information. I was not in a car accident and I am the only one who drives my car. He said I had front end damage, which I don't. I was angry and told him he was making a fake call and should be arrested. The next morning, I got a text from him at 844-997-3975 stating that I needed to talk to him about my car that was in an accident. He provided a claim number. He knew the make and model and knew that "I owned it". I hold the title. I just recently paid off the car. The only people who would know that are the three credit reporting agencies, the business that provided the car loan, and me. I notified my car insurance. They have not received a claim. I took tons of photos of my car to prove nothing is wrong with it. I am calling the local police later today to see what they advise.
