Back in March 2021 my computer locked up saying I had to call Microsoft because there was suspicious activity. I called the # and talked with someone who had a foreign accent. They use common names like Peter Williams and Tony Blake and are very persistent. They "hijacked" my computer and proceeded to fix it. They charged me $249.99 and tried to sell me firewall protection for several thousands of dollars. I said I wasn't interested in the firewall protection and they kept pushing and still declined. They had me sign an agreement which I didn't get a chance to read til after the fact and it said to not dispute the charge the credit card company. They installed a few apps on my desktop that are used to track your key strokes so they can access further account info.They have left me alone up until April 2021 and have been receiving calls 2-4 times a day saying there's suspicious activity on my account wanting to get me to allow them additional access to my computer to further ruin us. I have told them to leave me alone and quit calling. They have used at least 25 different cell numbers. I called them and told them I was no longer interested in their services and wanted a refund. Of course I got the song-and-dance because they didn't want to process the refund but eventually they caved in will just have to see if I actually receive it or not if not all this chalk it up as a loss. I had my computer completely wiped clean and installed McAfee total protection software which has a good firewall for a fraction of the cost. You can have up to 10 devices protected to prevent any future access from outside agencies.I read the reviews of this company after the fact and other people have gone through the same thing. I suggest taking similar action and as far as the phone calls go just put them on disregard.
I should have detected something when I 1st realised there was a language barrier because they are not even using their real names. I must admit they are very believeable because they make you feel like this is something that you absolutely cannot live without their very very persistent.
