• They inflated vendor prices (e.g., quoting $1,095 for a blackjack table I later confirmed costs $300 from the same vendor)
• They refused to provide copies of vendor contracts or itemized receipts, despite repeated requests
• They hired themselves and their friends, falsely presenting those services as outsourced
• They deposited my payments into a personal account, not a business or escrow account
• They blocked me on social media and became unresponsive when asked for accountability
• They misrepresented costs as non-refundable, which I later confirmed was untrue
Despite my good faith efforts to resolve the issue, including asking to assign the vendor relationships over to me or provide refunds for undelivered services, I was met with defensiveness, evasion, and deception. I eventually terminated the agreement due to their breach of duty and hired a new planner—at additional cost to me—after losing more than $6,000.
This is not just poor service—this is intentional misrepresentation, deceit, and a failure to honor even basic business practices. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Georgia Attorney General and have consulted with legal counsel regarding additional civil and criminal claims. I’m sharing this to warn others from falling victim to the same behavior.
