I was contacted by phone by woman who claimed to be a representative of a company called Prestige Auto Repair, on 8/14/24. They said that they were offering an extended warranty for my car. She said she could give me an extended warranty that would cover my car for 5yrs. and included auto repairs and replacements of parts and systems if I paid $150.00 and then paid a $220.00 per month for 2 years. She said I could get a discount if I paid for the total amount of $2800.00 and then the coverage would be paid for for the next 3 years. I gave her my debit card number for the for the $150.00 and the $2800.00. I did not receive the paperwork in the, but I wasn't worried because she said that it would take 2-3 weeks to get the contract to me. I went to my credit union on 9/2/24 to find out why my debit card was denied the day before at the store. They said that the full amount, $2500.00 was sent that I had in my checking account had gone to Prestige Auto Solution. I immediately told them that it was a theft of my money and they made a report and when I got home I called the phone number of Prestige and spoke to someone who acted shocked that this had happened and said they would fix the error and would return the money. However it never happened. I can't believe I was so careless and gullible to fall for this scam. I want people to know and beware.

Prestige auto solutions called my phone knew everything about my name that I just bought a new car. They said they were part of larry jay mitsubishi. They got a 100 dollars off my card. I asked for the money back they said they can't put it back on my card so they sent me a check. The check was insufficient funds.They sent me another check it came back insufficient funds.
