Type of a scam Online Purchase
On April 20, 2025, an unauthorized charge of $9.98 was withdrawn from my checking account by a company listed as "PRESPSD.COM 9440 SANTA MONICA BOULE 888802." I have no prior knowledge of or interaction with this company that would justify the charge.
After discovering the charge, I canceled my bank card to prevent further unauthorized activity. I also contacted the company by email, requesting:
1. A full refund of the $9.98.
2. The permanent deletion of all personal and banking information from their records, including any associated accounts or profiles.
In response, I received only auto-generated email replies that failed to acknowledge or address any part of my actual complaint.
I then called the company's support number and was met with a computer-generated phone menu. The options were:
Press 1 for order questions
Press 2 for a refund
Press 3 for an operator
When I pressed 3, the system stated that all operators were busy, advised sending an email instead, and disconnected the call.
When I selected option 2 for a refund, it asked for my ZIP code and the last four digits of the card. After entering the information, it claimed to have found my account, canceled it, and promised a refund. However, when I immediately called back and repeated the process using the same ZIP code but fake card digits, it gave the exact same message—indicating the system may be fraudulent or intentionally misleading.
To date, I have received no direct or meaningful response, and the process has left me with serious concerns regarding unauthorized data use, privacy violations, and deceptive customer service practices.
I am filing this complaint with the ScamPulse.com to document the issue and seek assistance in obtaining a full resolution.
