Preferred Refunds Reports & Reviews (9)

Law requires unclaimed funds to be escheated (turned over to the state) to be held for the owner, after 3 years of an organization not having contact with the owner of the funds. Once the money has been escheated to the state, you can claim it for yourself. https://claimittexas.org/

If you have money owed to you in other states, this is the link. https://www.missingmoney.com/en/

Do not pay someone else to claim it for you. Claim it yourself.

If it isn't listed there, give it time. If money is legitimately owed to you, it will eventually be escheated, and you can claim it then.

Scam... Run... just spoke with them... they are in no way credible ...They told me they do not operate in my area anymore and can't provide me the agency that supposedly holds my money because they may work there again someday and thats how they make money. Any legitimate business that moved out of the area would provide the information. Dishonest in every way.

I got a letter in mail & I called the # and they will not disclose any information on he fone.
They set an appt. for March 11th
I'm afraid to go.
Who can I talk to to see if this is legit?
They said they have to explain in person to see who I've been over paying because they need to see my ID and a recent bill.

I received the same card as described before from this "Preferred Refunds" and made an appointment in my home but nobody showed up. After this failure, I started to search and until I found these people are a scam.

I called the number on the post card and a Sophia answered. Stated she was in business for over 20 yrs. right away. Big red flag. Lol ! She also couldn't give any information and for working for a government establishment and the calls being recorded was very rude. Defiantly a SCAM! Told her what I thought, she took it upon herself to cancel my supposed "appointment for them to come to my home to get a notary there so I can sign some documents to get my refund to me" Miss Sophia stated that I thought they were a scam, so she was going to cancel my appointment Really ? I mean really, like she has the authority to do that. . It's my right to ask questions. She messed with the wrong GIRL! Called the authorities and Reported this to the post office. This is Fraud!
