This person claimed to be from the company's hr department. She only gave me a written interview and in less than 24 hours she said I was hired, they wanted to give me 5.00 dollars above my asking price for my hourly rate. I signed a digital employment contract and they sent me a check to pay for my supplies to which got put on hold and the person wanted me to make the purchase of the items I need now so that we can proceed with onboarding. I told them that will not be possible and we will need to wait until the check cleared to proceed. She then inform me she will need to talk to her supervisor and that we will probably need to cancel my employment because they don't have time to wait two weeks for the check to clear.
