I was contacted by Facebook messenger that she was sharing the money. I played along until I was asked to provide more information that necessary to deliver the check. I knew immediately it was a scam.

He said he won the Powerball ticket 273 million he want to give up some money but first I have to pay him with the gift cards $1500 and then he sent me $250,000 never will happen he bothers me again and again I sent him $1500 stupid me he is a big big scammer get them off please

I received this text message from phone number +1(207) 576-6577:

I’m Mr. Manuel Franco, the Powerball winner of $768  Million in Powerball Millions Jackpot, click here to see my winning interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTm2y1G7zC0   I'm donating to 200 random individuals. If you get this message then your number was selected after a spin ball. I have spread most of my wealth over a number of charities and organizations. I have voluntarily decided to donate the sum of $100,000 USD to you as one of the selected 200, to verify your winnings send a text to the agent in charge. Here is the number of the agent Donald Allison in charge (805-237-5450} text him for confirmation and delivery of your winning.

I did not respond to this text message nor did I send any message to the “agent in charge” as The text message instructed, but I “Googled” Manuel Franco and found several warnings of similar scams under this name created by imposters. I then reported the text message to my carrier (Verizon) and blocked the number and I’m reporting it to Better Business Bureau here as well.

Thank you for your time
