I contacted Potty Trained Pomeranians through their website to inquire about a pomeranian puppy they listed for sale. A person named Abraham returned my inquiry with a text that the puppy was available and that to reserve it he would need a $300 deposit. My wife and I had numerous questions and insisted that he call us to discuss. He then called us but his english was very poor and his accent so heavy that we could not understand him. He hung up and contacted us via and answered a couple of the questions we asked and assured us that we would receive all registration information, etc. when the puppy was shipped. He would only accept payment via Zelle so we sent the $300 deposit to him through Zelle. Once he supposedly made arrangements with a puppy courier service and said he was ready to ship we sent him the remaining $400 to complete the transaction. Shortly after, we received an email from a company calling itself Silva Fox Pet Courier Service informing us that we needed a special crate that would be used to transport the puppy safely via air. They offered to rent us one for a $1200 deposit that would be refunded 95% when the dog was delivered and that the person delivering the dog would hand us a check for that amount. Payment would only be accepted by wire transfer. I responded that $1200 was a ridiculous amount and that I would not wire them any money because it was the Seller's responsibility to provide for the crate. My subsequent attempts to contact either company met with no response. Calls went to voicemail and were not returned. Texts were ignored. Emails were ignored. At this point I knew this was a scam. I used Google Maps to look up the address listed on their website in Omaha, Nebraska and by using the street view I found the address listed was a nice house in an upscale neighborhood with no signs of a kennel. Using the email I received from Potty Trained Pomeranians I was able to obtained their IP address (209.85.218.44) and discovered it was coming from The Waters Apartment complex in Mountain View, CA.
