Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was sent a text message from phone number 186622128750 they also used 2 different name on their email and 2 different websites the first email [email protected] the second was [email protected] for an vehicle I had posted on craigslist for sale they told me they were interested in the vehicle and before they made an offer to buy they wanted me to run the vehicle history at http://platinumvinchecks.com before they come to see the vehicle or make an offer the website link takes you to a front page requesting you put in your vin number for a history report ..I was suspicious that a person would provide a link and request for me to run the report as it requires a fee and they really didn't show any other interest in my vehicle.. so I went online to find out if this website is a scam and I found this platinumvinchecks has been reported not more than 50 days old and that it uses a web server associated with other phishing and scam websites and this website is using a service to hide their location and identity so I am reporting them to the BBB

beware this or these site(s) require a vin number and a fee most likely to steal money from you via credit card purchase of a non accredited report website luckily I didn't purchase the vehicle history report from them ..beware
