Report

Scammers put together a Wine Festival at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center for February 28, 2026. Advertised on Facebook and Instagram, and around the city of Pittsburgh. Contacts used multiple emails to collect vendor sign up information ([email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]) including their website pghpopup.com. Multiple vendors and thousands of wine lovers were involved in purchasing vendor spots and customer VIP and general admission tickets online at their website. My company, who was to be a vendor onsite, purchased a vendor booth fee for $300. Then a cancellation message was received. I contacted the convention center and they had pulled out a month before for different reasons, hence lying to everyone. Then I reached out for a refund. Communication attached. They even eventually collected my address. Then ghosted - no response. Looking online, several other people and events by them reported as scams.
