Puppy was posted on Facebook and the person identified as a breeder. Person only communicated via text messages and the transport agency by Gmail. The contact person wanted deposit payments and monies for vet costs and a final payment before supplying the puppy. The day we were to get the puppy the individual texted very early in the morning that she was very sick and had taken the dog to a transport agency. The transport agency emailed that they required an additional $800 amount as insurance and guarantee of shipment that would be refunded upon receipt. At that point we said no and that we wanted to communicate via phone call and pick up the dog ourselves. Main contact person said she was too sick and said to contact husband. This person was an out of state number +1 573-654-5486 (Cardwell MO) accent was not Minnesotan quality English. So they maintained that we needed to use the delivery agency and that the puppy had been turned over to them and was out now out of their control.
