Please see below. This is the email I received. I had applied to many jobs recently and unfortunately assumed this was one of them getting back to me.

I hope you are doing well as I write this. Currently, one of our clients is looking for a Head of Security to join their team in a recently acquired company, and after looking at your profile, I believe your background would be a perfect fit.

Please respond to this email with your resume if you are interested. I would love to speak with you further about this opportunity and provide you with more information about the company after the initial client process.

I then emailed a different resume that was supposedly ATS friendly and was given the following response:

This did not work out as well. Issue does not relate to the file format. Your resume is supposed to be optimized for ATS. Please optimize your CV by the recommended website in my prior email, and send it back to me so that I can speed things up with a client.

I paid the $17.00 for the ATS complaint resume that was suggested and they responded with:

Your resume has been successfully added to the ATS system. We’ll proceed to the subsequent stage in the coming weeks, pending client approval.
