In my email from PayPal that i purchased a iphone for 1,199.00. When i called the customer support phone number. The operator said that the phone was purchased from New Mexico, using my information. I don't have a paypal account and will never one. He then said was going to cancel this transaction. I then ask him if this was a scam. He hung up. I knew when i opened up the email and saw the transaction i had suspicion that it was scam. Be on the look out for this one. Report it.

Email from PayPal stating Did you just attempt a purchase at the Apple Store for an Iphone16? If you suspect unauthorized activity, contact us immediately 1-888-673-5983. I called , Victor said someone was trying to empty my checking account thru PayPal. I don't have a PayPal account. Stated someone had hacked my account. He said he would transfer the $1097.00 dollar back into my account. Now he wants me to give him access to my account. I did, said he was would do 2 transactions . One for 500 and another for $597.00. but he said he made an error and put $5000.00 in my account and I needed to buy gift cards to pay him back. I will never buy a gift card agin, I had a panic attack.

I keep getting emails saying that they are from PayPal. They have noticed an unauthorized transaction from my PayPal account. if it wasn't made by me, I am supposed to call Customer Support at 1(888) 404-2258 to cancel this order.

The subject is" Order Confirmation 32797 to Jasma Asmore on 2025-April-11

This company sends emails impersonating others companies eat Mcafee and PayPal They notify you of a purchase. PayPal was for IPhone purchase for 1200.00 The next one was for Mcafee to for. 564.00 I didn’t make these purchases. Upon calling the 800 number listed on these emails. The gentleman says we know you didn’t make the purchases. I need you to get your laptop and go to ultra viewer. Ultra viewer is where they take control of your computer computer my grandson said grandma is a scam And I hung up the next day. I received the email from McAfee stating I have made a purchase with them I have not made any purchases with McAfee call the 800 number given on the email. It is the same company. The gentleman said the same thing brought up the PayPal amount. I hung up and called McAfee and PayPal and they both let me know that was not them in any form.

I received an email (PayPal) telling me they were going to withdraw $469. For my purchase of Bitcoin. (REDFLAG) because i know nothingabout bitcoin. I have a copy of the email. It included a number to call if I'm not interested and feel like i didn't like the idea. Customer service# which i called and that's where i had one on one conversation with 2 different people. Pretended that I had purchased bitcoin with my "inactive" Pay Pal account. Had mocked up a Pay Pal logo and insisted I call only the number 888-396-2388 to send payment. They used my back-up email, not my primary one. I am happy to provide you with a printout of the email, as I have reported it as spam and deleted it.

Received an email saying that I ordered McAfee Protection auto paid through PayPal.

I don't have a Pay Pal account, but my deceased husband did years ago.

I called the number on the invoice, the number I provided you, and the person on the other end wanted me to go on my computer, which I refused and he hung up after I told him this was a scam.

I received an email from a personal email acct. - [email protected]

that stated "They" represented PAYPAL and attached an invoice to a pdf file regarding payment to PayPal. . I did NOT open the pdf file attached w/ an invoice because I knew it was a scam. I haven't purchased anything from PayPal & why a personal email was used led me to it being a SCAM!

I accidentally sent my money from PayPal$5 to the wrong person. I was just calling to retrieve it. I couldn't get through to PayPal but there was a24hr. # he said his name Eric #12097 #850-231-8324. He said I had an account w $750.00 in it n he wanted to close the unused account n transfer it to me account. So he hooked me up to remote access to me phone n had me go to all me accounts and have me excuses why they couldn't send it to any of these accounts. Then told me it was a person from China who was using my info. Then said I had to buy some apple card to get there phone numbers off my acct. I yelled at him and said so I have to buy a flipping phone card n give you the numbers to get this money. N he hung up on me. It was just a way to see all my info on my accts. All the accts are at$0. But if they hadn't been. He would have had access to all my money.

Scammer used my gmail to send me an invoice to confirm a PayPal transaction for Norton 365 deluxe. When I called to investigate the agent became angry and wanted to transfer my call and asked me to place the call on speaker, asked me if I knew anyone in Alaska.

The e-mail says, "Thank you for subscribing to Pay Pal Business. Your account has been set up and you can now complete business transactions.

Your bank account has been charged $249.00 based on your social security number. If this is not correct, please call 860-790-5998 (which is disconnected , I found out) .
