When contacting the support line thinking it was Paypal, the scammer transferred me to a “technician” who also was a scammer. The so called technician told me my account had been hacked and instructed me to go to my apps (after asking if I had iphone or Android). Then instructed me to type in RealVNC Server. I then realized this was an application to allow remote access to my accounts. I told him that I wasn’t allowing him to have access to my phone or accounts remotely. He became angry and switched to a recording that said “[censored] you B****”. Then I kept getting calls back from a (402) phone number with a recording claiming to be Paypal.

Supposedly he was trying to credit back to my account money pulled for a PayPal purchase. He was using a company called Uphold to connect to my phone, wanted access to my apple wallet and debit card, when he was having problems getting the money from my bank he had me ask a friend to help, he had her accept money. I sent her money through PayPal, then he had her move the money to her account, then he had her send the money to him through bitcoin. We both had to redo all of our bank accounts change all passwords to correct the money taken.
