I recently had the exact save experience. You would think that they would at least switch the scam up a bit. Nope! Same m.o same results. Only with me I've been scammed like this before. Thinking I landed the perfect gig. So I required identity verification. Once I asked for that all communication went cold. Beware. They are still trying this scam.

He put an ad in the paper, needing a personal assistant to pick up packages from the mailbox or post office. *Now, he sent me a check which I have not opened the mail, but I have a letter being chewed out because I have not responded back because I found out that he was a scammer. He has given a different email address and a phone number. I will be turning all my information over to local authorities.

He puts out ad for oersonal assistance. And he uses fake name to explain that fake check mailed to targeted will need to transact thru oersonal account to try forwarding money back to him, fake check and doesnt refer admitance no address, and fake job description.
